Pulse’s Julie Eaton and her husband Mike have successfully run the Windermere marathon on May 17th to raise funds for Edukid. This was a 26.2 mile circuit around Lake Windermere and when described as ‘undulating’ what they really mean is it’s a brute! They trained long and hard for over 6 months and have raised an incredible amount of money for this fantastic charity. They finished the circuit together in a fantastic 4 hours 45 minutes, well under the 5 hour target time, so a huge congratulations to them both for all the effort they’ve put in, and for finishing in such a great time.
Edukid helps disadvantaged children and families access education in Cambodia and Uganda. For many in these countries education is seen as a way of breaking the poverty that they live in. Edukid aims to provide everything a child needs to go to school and therefore providing hope of a brighter future. It’s not too late to donate some money for this fantastic cause, please go to http://www.justgiving.com/julieeaton99 to show your support and help these children.
