As well as perfect sound, Definitive’s new Mythos ST SuperTower has the looks as well, with a sleek hand polished black or silver aluminium cabinet, mounted on a beautiful polished granite base. It’s the perfect combination of technical brilliance and gorgeous looks. And it comes with an attractive price too. Inside the Mythos you’ll find a host of advanced Definitive components that have been engineered to deliver sonic performance that’s truly in a class of its own. This includes high-powered, built-in SuperCube subwoofers, as well as a D’Appolito array consisting of two high definition Definitive Balanced Dual Surround System (BDSS) 133mm drivers flanking a 25mm Pure Aluminium dome tweeter. The ST’s built-in subwoofer incorporates Definitive’s new racetrack-shaped carbon fibre coned driver pressure coupled to two planar passive bass radiators. And the whole amazing subwoofer driver array is powered by a built-in 300-watt digital amplifier. The resolution of the D’Appolito array, with its newly designed drivers, combines clarity with a natural silky smoothness. And the soul-stirring bass, which is produced by the dual subwoofers, is capable of earthshaking dynamics as well as the most subtle and detailed musical nuances. The ST can be used in stereo or as part of a multi-channel music or home theatre system, and is capable of recreating a three dimensional soundstage which is breathtaking in terms of its ability to make musicians and action come alive. Also available is the Mythos STS, the smaller brother to the Mythos ST SuperTower. The system still offers great looks with superb sound, and uses the same cutting edge technology as the ST, including a SuperCube® powered subwoofer. And of course that means there to enjoy the full sonic impact, there is no need to find floor space for a separate subwoofer or ruin the whole look of the system with a tangle of ugly wires. Both systems mean you’ll enjoy a new depth to your music that you may never have heard before – unless, of course, you own a pair of speakers several times the price. The Mythos ST SuperTower costs £3598 per pair and the STSs are £2998 a pair.
