In little over a decade CEDIA Expo has established itself as the leading trade event for the residential custom installation industry.

The event showcases the latest innovations and technologies in home cinema, audio-video solutions, lighting control, structured wiring, HVAC control, blind and security systems. If you are involved in the planning, design, specification or installation of home electronic systems, this is the only dedicated event for you in Europe.  

After an incredibly busy and successful CEDIA 2008 Expo, we would like to take this opportunity to recap on some of the highlights from the show.

As many of you will have witnessed first-hand the Pulse Marketing stand was one of the busiest and most talked about at the show.

The Pulse Team rarely had a spare minute to stop, and enjoyed several days demonstrating the following products:

01. A Runco XP65 DHD Plasma Display highlighting the amazing ‘true to life’ image quality of Runco flat screens, surrounded by a pair of elegant Definitive Technology Mythos Ten loudspeakers and ReVox multi-room system providing the sound.

02. The new and improved C-Mask projector screen from Screen Research was displayed on our external wall showing a more affordable solution for dealers looking to provide CineWide masking systems. Prices can be instantly provided on our quote tool at www.screenresearchuk.com

03. The section of the Pulse stand showing the Triad custom paint finishes and bespoke sizes had installers interested, demonstrating how easy it can be to blend speakers into any environment, with no compromise on performance.  Partnering the Triad speakers was the versatile Revox multi-room solution, offering installers a system that is as easy to install as it is to program.

04. The D-Box GP200 F1 simulator was on display showing how Pulse can offer its supporting dealers a way of pulling in the crowds at any event – this provided a truly amazing experience and demonstrated a unique way of attracting crowds.  Whilst Definitive Technology ST’s with build in subwoofers provided the awesome soundstage.

Our Dedicated Cinema Room

Inside our Cinema Room, dealers experienced the truly mind blowing image of the Runco VX22d (on standard DVD from Play station) with McKinley anamorphic lens.  The D-Box SRI-J133 motion controller cinema seating brought big smiles to all who experienced them.  Triad Loudspeakers provided the astonishing surround sound experience, the new Sconce speaker being a shining light within the range.  Coupled together with a Sherbourn pre-power combination and with Screen Research demonstrating their Theatre Curve X-Mask screen, this complete solution provided a must have cinema room at an affordable £115,000. Not bad for three days work!

We would like to thank those dealers who arrived and offered hours of their own time to lend a hand.

Finally many of you took the opportunity to chill-out up stairs with a bottle of Budweiser whilst listening to music from the interestingly styled ReVox L Series loudspeakers.
